If you only think of pink as a girly or unsophisticated color, you are seriously missing out.
Warm neutrals like beige are a go-to for bringing warmth into a space. A pale, dusty pink can bring in that same warmth, but in a very fresh, creative, and unexpected way. It’s also much more versatile than beige; a more saturated blush brings a sense of youthful fun, while a blush with more gray feels so sophisticated and rich.
Below are some fantastic One Room Challenge® projects that demonstrate perfectly how blush can be the perfect neutral.
This gorgeous pale pink paint is the perfect complement to that green. It’s subtle enough to not fight with the green, but it still feels full of life. It makes the powder room glow!

This dining room is a perfect example of how a dusty blush color can feel so sophisticated. Plus, it’s got so much more personality than a standard neutral color.
The paint in this girls’ bathroom is very toned-down, but it has just enough color to make the space feel youthful and warm.
Here’s another space where pale pink has been paired with a gorgeous deep green. This office feels so lively and cheerful.
The pale pink curtains bring a sense of fun into this beautiful neutral kitchen. Notice how the pink doesn’t feel out of place at all in a sea of wood-tones and white.
Light mauve walls were the perfect choice for this cozy, moody living room. It keeps the space feeling light and airy, but feels so much more warm and friendly than white or off-white would.
