Spring ‘25 Event Mini Projects: Info, Ideas, and Inspiration
DESIGN
STORY BY TEAM ORC
Last week, Team ORC announced a mini change we’re making this season. We wanted to do things differently this time, because between escalating prices, potential trade wars, and supply chain issues, it’s hard to know whether or not to commit to a full scale room renovation right now.
So, for the spring event, we’re encouraging participants to tackle mini projects!
We were so excited to see so many community members interested in this option. With help from ORC folks on Instagram, we’ve put together this mini project guide that should answer any questions and give you lots of ideas. If you want to tackle your own mini project(s), you can register here. Let’s get those projects done together :)
First thing’s first: what is a mini project?
A mini project is anything that will bring you joy and make you feel happier at home.
No project is too small or too simple. It can be functional or beautifying.
Don’t forget that one of the event’s main purposes is to provide motivation, structure, and encouragement—maybe this is the perfect time to finally do that one small project you’ve been putting off.
Other questions you may have
If you were already planning a full room transformation, you’re absolutely welcome to go for it! We can’t wait to see it.
There’s no limit on the number of mini projects you can do, but remember to keep it manageable! We’d encourage you to plan no more than three. Keep it simple—that was like, our whole point in adding mini projects.
We’ll be sharing mini projects in the newsletter, site, and socials throughout the event and after, just like we do full room transformations.
Still undecided? Check out these fantastic mini project ideas, submitted by ORC community members, for some inspiration:
